D,

Are you feeling better?  I have in my small collection of stones a small tumbeled piece of obsidian, I think that I will try and make  a crochet necklace so my body can get used to interacting with it. Also can I use Apache Tears ?? I know that this is a form of black obsidian. I also have climbed out of another box really to silly to mention. Still hope for this old gal. Smile

I am doing fine.  It is Shadow that is doing very poorly.  She is at her end of days and how many more she has I just don't know…it is up to her.

Tash,

That idea of the making the necklace is a good idea.  If you can get the piece close to your body over a regular basis it will help you as you begin to work with Obsidian.

Yes, you can use Apache Tears if you want.

D,

Sorry to hear about Shadow, Abbie is sending her a doggie hug. My brother in law knows how much I like gem stones and sent me some beautiful tears, I  let my grand daughters choose a favorite , and other family members also. Tonight I  will keep a few with me.and see what happens. I am on the hunt for a  larger piece of  obsidion stone, tomorrow I will call a jewelry store and see if they might have one. As you might have   guessed I live in a small rural place, the main Highway passes through ( we're still called a village) we're so big Smile but we have a post office, IGA, tractor farm store.

Tried picking up some obsidian at Romancing the Stone.  The lady just looked at me in confusion, so I told her “Volcanic Glass.”  They didn't have any.  My search continues.

More prayers for Shadow.  Frown

/hugs for all.  :)

Sage!

It is so good to have you back online again.

Sage is very adept at working with stones and her input will be very valuable here.

One of my favorite sites is pelhamgrayson.com. A huge website and seldom disappointing. However the minimum order is $50, but it's easy to find great stones and crystals. A quick search of obsidian found 1/2 lb of apache tears for $8.99..A rough snowflake for $1.99 and a variety of spheres. At the very least it's fun to check out all the photos.

I carry a 2 inch rainbow obsidian sphere around and it has developed pinhead sized white spots all over and tiny pinprick holes..Most curious,,I have several others around the house from the same batch that are unchanged..And this is not the first time stones or crystals have changed around here…Anyone else have something similar happen or have a clue what it means..I am guess that I absorbed the energy.Confused

Sage,

I have no clue, but your assumption is probably correct.  You do so much work with stones that it probably would affect them.

Tash,

You will need to direct that question to her…and she will share what she wants to.

I know her from UC.

Tashina, Just start with my name and ask a specific question. I love talking about stones and crystals and will babble on once started. And it's more accurate for me to say that they work with me. So I am always learning and happy to share.SmileSmile

Lassen Sage,

I would like to know more about your work with stones and minerals.  How did you first know that they were calling to you to join in their realm?  Are you drawn to any special stone or mineral? Do you feel it's right to have them , or do you think that minerals should be left in or on the earth to work with our Mother? I 'm torn about this some times.Frown  Do you use them in healing? I had better stop here … so many questions.Smile I wish that more people would be posting questions on Diana s new web site as  we have a place to learn  here.

Tashina, Great questions.Feb. of 2007  I was very ill, going off a medication for anxiety used for my M.S. like symptoms. My body was freaking, I couldn't eat or sleep. My only relief were long showers and soaking baths. I managed to fall asleep in the bath, but I just could not get my body to rest otherwise,,,until a fist-sized amethyst cluster caught my attention…It was so beautiful that I picked it up and felt my body calm down and my eyes closed..I slept with that amethyst and dreamed of being made of stone and crystal.I had altered perceptions for days. I started handling every stone and crystal I could find and luckily my Partner had a small collection. I slept and bathed with them and slowly got better….By better I mean I rested and stopped vibrating all over.  Electrical appliances caused me much distress. When the fridge was running I could not walk straight and my head buzzed…I originally only collected wild stones and crystals,,,was kind of a snob about it….But I believe that the stones and crystals want to help….oddly enough a Granddaughter was ill and visiting overnight,,I gave her a selenite wand and a amethyst to sleep with and she had the same turning to stone dream with the lingering sensory experience of being stone….I have many favorites,,,amazonite for aching vibrating feet,,electro-magnetic smog,,or earthquakes….Orange calcite for sore tendons and muscles…Peridot for a grieving heart and arthritis. Smokey quartz for restless feet…Serephenite,,a dark green stone like serpentine for deep neck pain related to muscle strain. Danburite crystal held firmly in both palms for heart, throat and head clearing and calming…..The stone, crystal or mineral that makes you go yum, yum,,looks beautiful is the one calling..Held firmly, squeezed tightly it will release a electrical vibration that feels soothing…For some few folks willing to try there can be great rewards….I have a few stories to share..Mostly it it just trial and error and of course desperation and determination.Smile
