If you feel that you have a certain animal spirits around you, then then they are among your life long animal spirits.

You need to begin to trust your instincts on this and listen to the ones that come to you.

Who do you have coming to you?

Remember that more often than not, your contact with them begins in childhood…either through dreams, a beloved stuff animal, or just collecting one.  Sometimes those dreams include being attacked by the animal.

My favorite stuffed animal as a kid was a rabbit named State.  I'd have him carry a toy sword, play with him like he was a knight, and think of him as being me.  I was actually just thinking about this yesterday because my brother also had a rabbit toy he ran around with as a small child.  You didn't dare try to separate him from his bunny blanket. Is it possible Rabbit might be a family thing?

Lately Wolf has been talking to me a lot, and I've been accepting his messages as meaning there's about to be a lot of change.  I've always liked wolves but I'm not certain exactly what my relationship with wolf actually is.

And of coarse you already knew about me getting bit by a dog as a kid.

In addition I've bumped into Bear, Deer and Tortoise recently.  Trying to determine what those relationships are.  I've also been asking Jaguar for help with my fear issues.

Just making you trust your instincts. 

Rabbit is one of your lifelong animal spirits.  Rabbit is a powerful animal spirit because it helps you move through fear to new beginnings…very much in line with this website. 

Wolf usually has to do with family and/or family issues.  Wolf is also a teacher and will help you with your work here.

Dog, of course, is one as well.  He brings you unconditional love, protection,  unquestioned loyalty…and the ability of help heal emotional pain/issues and bring you safely through them.

The three above did come when I read your post, which means they are among your lifelong animal spirits.

The other three did not.  That means one of two things:  either they chose not to acknowledge they are with you for life or they are helping you temporarily with issues. 

Bear heals through introspection and solitude.  It often does this in a cave setting, but always there will be just the two of you doing the work.

Deer teaches you to use gentleness of word, deed, and intent…and to hone your listening abilities (perhaps your soul).  Deer gives of itself so others might live.  It has great compassion.

Tortoise teaches you about boundaries and the use of non-violent defense.  He merely withdraws into his shell until the danger has passed.  By doing this, he remains extremely neutral (not giving off scent or movement to his enemies/detractors.  Sound familiar?  

Seems like you have some animal spirits that have chosen to help you do the work on this site.

Huh.  And last night I had a dream where I was standing outside with my mother, looking at the stars.  I saw two sets of three or four (I think four) lights circling near us.  I reached my hand into one of the circles of lights and Vulture spirit came to me out of the circles, and I knew Vulture had something to say to me.  I saw my mother reaching into the other circle and having her own experience. 

 

I'm going to have to see if maybe this was a shared dream experience.

Sometimes the spirits of relatives or friends that have crossed come as that kind of light.  I am very proud of you for not being afraid of this experience as it was a very beautiful one.

The fact that Vulture was there, means this is the case as Vulture represents the ability to communicate with spirits.

Any bird will fly at night if it is spooked from where it is resting for the night.  It sounds like this one is getting spooked by the dogs and you.

It should learn not to rest in the same place at night.
